After a successful return last year, the Australian Music Association (AMA) has announced the return of the Melbourne Guitar Show in 2016.
The event takes place at the Caulfield Racecourse from 6th-7th August. Last year’s show was the first almost a decade.
Organised by the AMA and its online magazine, australianmusician.com.au, the show’s exhibitors will include big-name wholesalers, retailers and manufacturers. It will offer patrons the opportunity to see, hear and play an extensive range of the world’s favourite brands, and will also provide a platform for guitar retailers to offer show deals.
The show will feature leading Australian manufacturers, with boutique Australian luthier designs and specialised amplifier manufacturers, as well as collectors displaying vintage masterpieces for sale.
“We are excited to be able to present the Melbourne Guitar Show once more. It was successful on many fronts last year, for our industry and guitar enthusiasts of all levels,” said AMA CEO, Rob Walker. “Our guitar community really came together and sales on the show floor were very brisk and crucially, the public came in big numbers, proving how popular the guitar is”
The Melbourne Guitar Show will also showcase guitar talent including Lloyd Spiegel, Kevin Borich, James Ryan, Phil Manning, Nick Charles, Teramaze, Geoff Achison, Jimi Hocking, and many more, and will include live performances and all-star jams plus educational opportunities, seminars and product demos.
“Australia has some of the world’s best players and it will be a pleasure to present them along with an opportunity for guitar lovers to take advantage of lots on show over the weekend,” added Walker.
