Barnes and Mullins launches ‘outlet’ site

Ronnie Dungan • MMR Global • July 8, 2015

Barnes & Mullins is now offering access to discount-priced, b-grade and discontinued instruments and accessories through a new online portal.

The firm has decided to offer the imperfect, but saleable instruments to the trade at specially discounted prices at

Brian Cleary, B&M’s joint managing director, explained: “We have invested heavily in our technical and service departments over the last few years, very aware that pre-sale service is of the utmost importance to our customers. As a result of our ever-increasing standards, a number of instruments don’t make the cut and are subsequently marked as B-Grade: functional but falling below the high benchmark we set, usually due to cosmetic imperfections or slight damage. However, there is a definite place in the market for these instruments, readily available to buy at a special trade price – with their faults fully laid bare. By using our new online B-Grade Outlet, stores will now be able to view these products as they appear daily, and take advantage of incredible discounts of up to 70%.”

Once logged in to the trade area of, all customers with an active B&M account will be able to browse, search and place an order directly through the site, with the resulting invoice being added to their existing B&M credit facility.

Orders can also be taken over the phone via the B&M sales office too, if required. Barnes & Mullins’ B-Grade Outlet is active now. For more information click here.
