NAMM’s latest Global Report has been released, revealing the estimated market value of some 23 different countries across the world.
The annual publication, created by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for its global membership captures a snapshot of music industry sales figures from 23 countries. This year’s report marks the first time that figures from France and Hungary are available, showing the French market to be worth some $728m (€663; £469.8m ) with a global market share of 4.3 per cent. The UK market is estimated at $533m (€485.5m; £344m) a market share of 3.2 per cent.
The report reveals retail sales figures, unit-sales information, analysis, and import/export numbers for musical instruments and products.
This year it captures a snapshot of 23 countries, including Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France, Hungary and the United States.
