Tickets for this year’s Musical Instruments & Technology Show (MITS) are available now – and to celebrate the launch of the show they will be free for anyone who books in advance on the website.
Event manager Chris Martin said: “Offering free entry – as well as free parking – to everyone involved in music means that we will attract a wider audience, which will help to establish MITS as a must-attend music event for the industry.”
Taking place from 6th to 8th November at Manchester’s EventCity, MITS was created out of the largely education-based The Music Show, held in 2013 but has been reworked as an event, having taken a year out last year.
The re-shaped show will have new features including a pop-up recording studio, a chill out lounge, performance areas and a stage put together by Sound On Sound, which has confirmed as Official Media Sponsor of the event.
As well as those studying and teaching music, MITS is pitched anyone working in the music industry, including musicians, bands, performers, producers and engineers. There will be a Careers Hub at the event with guidance and advice on building a successful career in the music industry, highlighting the many opportunities that exist. On top of this visitors will have the opportunity to see the latest musical equipment and technologies, enjoy an extensive programme of live performances and demonstrations, benefit from practical workshops and training sessions, hear discussion and debate from key experts in the sector and network with other music industry professionals.
