Guitars and equipment worth £10,000 have been stolen from Rimmers in Liverpool.
Thieves broke into Rimmers Music, on West Derby Road, Kensington , and loaded expensive items into a nearby van. Electric and acoustic guitars, amplifiers and accessories were all taken.
Inspector Mark Gorton, from Merseyside Police, said: “The manager is understandably devastated that the shop has been targeted.
“It’s shameful that there are people who think it is acceptable to destroy other people’s hard work and enterprise for their own gain and we are determined to bring those responsible before the courts.
“I would like to reassure the community that we are working to identify the people responsible and would appeal to anyone who was in the area and noticed anything suspicious near to or outside Rimmers Music on Friday night into Saturday morning to contact police.
“Your information will be looked at thoroughly and could really help our enquiries.”
Detectives say the stolen items were loaded into a white van that was parked outside the shop.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
