Sakae continues to grow its roster of artists, adding Clean Bandit drummer, Luke Patterson.
The band have had much global success in recent years and their chart topping single Rather Be went multi-Platinum in the UK to accompany its video’s 380 million views on YouTube.
Patterson has been developing a hybrid kit using Sakae’s acoustic drums, hoping to create a versatile setup that can achieve the organic subtleties from an acoustic drum while supported by electronic sounds.
He commented: “Having used solely electronics for the majority of touring, I soon realised that for my sound to develop I had to involve acoustic drums, so choosing the right kit to compliment my electronic sound was something I had to get right. I’d heard great things about Sakae and as soon as I had a chance to try them out, I was blown away. The sound these drums produce is incomparable and I can’t thank Sakae enough for letting me be a part of their team. They’ve already been an incredible helping hand and I look forward to my future with them.”
Luke plays a Sakae Celestial Mappa kit plus Maple Effect snares and a Bubinga 13” main snare.
