Sheargold Pianos, in Maidenhead has announced plans to shut up shop.
In a statement, the firm reassured customers that it would continue to trade, with services, including tuning and storage, relocated to its main shop in Cobham, Surrey, where it is already managed from. A closing date is yet to be confirmed, but it is likely to be early in July.
The decision has been forced upon the business by redevelopment which will see large areas of the town centre demolished.
Managing director Anthony Sheargold said: “It’s a shame that we have to move but it’s necessary for us to move forward with our business plan and fits in with the town’s plan for Maidenhead. We will be selling off all the stock in the shop with great savings to be made.”
