StompLight International, creator of the world’s first line of artist-controlled lighting effect pedals is unveiling a host of changes to its offering at Summer NAMM, including new DMX compatibility, lower pricing, improved margins for dealers, and the addition of new products to the StompLight International line.
Reacting to feedback from its debut at Winter NAMM StompLight is heading to Summer NAMM with a revamped proposition in line with what dealers and consumers have been asking for.
StompLight Professional is a fully self-contained DMX performance lighting unit that sets up in seconds, aimed at solo performers, DJs, bar bands, dancers and as part of any minimalist stage set-up, that produces dozens of colourful lighting effects at the click of a button.
Effects include a sound responsive Color Organ, Color Wheel, and a Strobe light. The StompLight Professional model also houses a built-in microphone with adjustable input gain and a multi-band spectrum analyser capable of producing lighting synched to the performer or the ambient music.
Notable improvements to the StompLight Professional include new DMX compatibility, improved brightness, and simplified connectivity for expanding the light show using multiple units or the new StompLight Slave Light or StompLight Mini. StompLight can also become portable via a small rechargeable battery pack.
Originally, while the firm intended to manufacture StompLight products in the US, it has opted instead to use a US partner with facilities in China. This has enabled the StompLight Professional to be introduced to retail at a new price with improved margin for dealers.
“Although my original vision was to manufacture in California the cost prohibited us to hit the consumer sweet spot and offer traditional margin”, said CEO Michael Ahern. “It’s a change in price, but certainly not in quality. This new direction also enabled us to extend our product line adding two new products, the StompLight Mini and StompLight Slave Light.”
The latest version of the StompLight Professional and newly expanded StompLight product line will be unveiled at this year’s Summer NAMM show in Nashville from 23rd-25th June on Booth 1631.
