UK distributor Westside has just released three new “Time-Limited Edition” models from Martin – The 000-15 Special, D-15 Special and DR Centennial.
Each model is embedded with traditional Martin features alongside visually distinctive additions and innovations.
The D-15 Special (£1,450) carries the Satin Finish and Mahogany back and sides of the 15-Series but is completed by a solid Sitka spruce top.
Additional features include black binding and purfling that accents the two-piece back. The solid Mahogany neck is then finished with a black heel-cap.
It also features Butterbean knobs on Nickel Open Gear Tuning Machines and Golden Era Style Diamond Fingerboard Inlays with a Faux Tortoise Pick-Guard.
The DR Centennial (£1,995) is the final piece in the celebration of Martin’s “100 Years Of The Dreadnought”.
The D-14 Fret sized Acoustic has a satin-finish on the body and neck, the top is Adirondak spruce that has the Vintage Tone System or “VTS” and is finished with “Antique White” binding.
Mother of Pearl fingerboard inlays in 1955 Style 18, East Indian Rosewood back, sides and fingerboard finish it off.
The15-Series Martin (£1,450) has many of the same attributes of the D-15 Special but put together in the popular 000-14 fret body size.
It has solid Mahogany back and sides with a rich satin finish, a solid Sitka spruce top, black purfling and binding accentuating the two-piece back are among the features.
