Frankie Tontoh, who has played drums for George Michael, Amy Whitehouse and Craig David has joined the line-up of Sakae Drums artists.
For more than 30 years,Tontoh has been a drummer/musical director for a variety of artists in a broad range of musical styles, including Osibisa, Gary Barlow, Al Green, Tanita Tikaram, Gabrielle, Roachford, Courtney Pine and currently, Brother Strut. He also recently recorded two Grammy-winning albums for Colombian artist, Santiago Cruz.
Commenting on his appointment, he offered: “It is truly an honour to be part of the Sakae family. The nature of the work I do, I need drums that are versatile in the studio and rugged for the road. For options and flexibility, Sakae’s stylish Celestial & Trilogy series offer the sound solutions for me.”
