After successfully introducing a six string Viator, Vintage has launched a 12-string version of the Paul Brett-endorsed electro-acoustic travel guitar.
Featuring a solid sitka spruce top and with sapele back and sides, the Viator 12 has a nato customised ‘v’ shape neck with rosewood fingerboard. The rosewood bridge features a Graphtech Nu-Bone nut and there is also a Fishman Sonitone pickup system with the pre-amp mounted inside the soundhole. It also has a USB output to record onto a tablet or laptop.
“Of all the guitars to date that I have released in conjunction with Vintage this is my favourite,” said Paul Brett. “Why? Because it offers me a different option in both sound and tonal genres which, to me, makes it a unique piece of kit to add to any player’s armoury. It will take many tunings depending upon the gauge of strings used and I am constantly discovering new areas of composition that have remained hidden in other formats.
“It works brilliantly in both acoustic and electro-acoustic modes, and the addition of a USB output adds even more options. Try one out for yourself and as usual, Vintage have produced a beautiful instrument that I am very proud to add my name to.”
It will have a UK RRP of £349.
