As part of its recently-announced distribution deal with Warwick Music, JHS is launching the pBuzz plastic trombone.
The pBuzz has a range of six notes through its moveable slide. The slide positions are outlined by colour, note name and also slide positions one to six so that children can learn in many ways, from traditional notation or the Orff colour system, to help aid understanding of pitch and varying length.
PBuzz is the latest product from Warwick, a Coventry-based team of British brass musicians’ which created the world’s first plastic trombone, pBone, which was closely followed by the pBone Mini, and the pTrumpet.
Warwick CEO Steven Greenall, said: “We are extremely excited about the pBuzz. It takes our musical brand mainstream. It’s a great introduction to brass instruments before advancing to a pTrumpet or pBone and is equally a great parent purchase for a magical playtime.”
He added: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from our Education contacts too. With pBone and pTrumpet firmly established as valued KS2 resources, it’s great to know with pBuzz we have the perfect product for KS1 too!”
