Washburn launching new Heritage range

Washburn is launching a new series of acoustics called the Heritage Series, with 16 models landing in the UK later this month.

The range offers four body shapes, with the Heritage 10 series guitars featuring mahogany back and sides, the Heritage 20 series rosewood back and sides, the Heritage 30 series tamo ash back and sides and the Heritage 40 series flame maple back and sides.

The Heritage 10 Series encompasses nine models  available in dreadnought (D), folk (F) and grand auditorium (G) body styles. Most are available in a natural finish with select models available in black (B), tobacco burst (TB) and left handed variants (LH). All feature solid sitka spruce tops (solid western cedar on 11 models and solid mahogany on 12 models) mahogany back, sides and neck, a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, diecast tuners, tortoise shell pickguard and a custom rosette. Selected models are also available with cutaways and a Fishman 301T tuner /pre-amp.

The Heritage 20 Series guitars feature rosewood back and sides and Ebonite tuning buttons. All other specs remain the same as the 10 series. Two dreadnought models are available, the HD20S and the HD20SCE which includes a cutaway and Fishman 301T tuner/pre-amp. The Washburn HG26SCE is a grand auditorium model featuring a mother of pearl headstock inlay, maple binding and a Fishman 501T Tuner/Preamp.

The 30 Series features tamo ash back and sides and gold tuners. All other specs remain the same. Two dreadnought models are available, the HD30S and the HD30SCE which includes a cutaway and a Fishman 301T tuner/pre-amp.

Lastly, the Heritage 40 Series features two jumbo (J) body style guitars with flame maple back and sides. All other specs remain the same. The Heritage 40 Series includes the HJ40S and the HJ40SCE which features a cutaway and a Fishman 501T tuner/pre-amp.
