In partnership with 1500 Sound Academy and the Fender X 1500 Sound Academy Scholarship Program, the world’s leading guitar brand furthers its commitment of supporting the next generation of players and creators at every stage of their musical journey by sponsoring two students in 2022 to the program based in Inglewood, California.  The academy is helmed by Grammy Award winning James Fauntleroy, Larrance “Rance” Dopson and entrepreneur Twila True.

The scholarships will allow the students to attend the 1500 Sound Academy Music and Fundamentals course on its Los Angeles-based campus starting February 2022.  Recipients will also get the opportunity to work directly with industry leaders to learn about music production, songwriting, mixing, artist branding, and more.  Students will also have access to the Fender Room, a studio space outfitted with all of the latest Fender®, product offerings, as well as Fender Play®, the complete learning app for guitar, bass and ukulele.

Candidates will have from Monday, November 1, 2021 through Friday, November 12, 2021 to enter. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges from 1500 Sound Academy and Fender. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.  Applicants can apply for the scholarships HERE.

Fender has been proud to partner with 1500 Sound Academy over the last two years, supplying gear for students to experiment within a studio environment as they explore their musical tastes and all the tonal possibilities in their sonic palette.
