Jeff Mulvihill, Sonor Brand Manager USA:
“It is amazing how much has changed in the world in 50 years with technology and culture speeding the pace on how people live life at a more rapidly than ever before in history. Yet some fundamentals never leave the picture. 1971 was a year in the middle of a 10-year period of growth for SONOR as factory and production expansion plans beginning in 1965 culminated with a completely new look in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the brand in 1975. Stepping into the present, the fundamentals of sound and response, functional setup and beautiful looking drums mentioned by the featured artists in 1971 remain at the center of the Sonor legacy. Sonor is a sound that is more than the sum of our knowledge, commitment, and expertise; every SONOR instrument is a masterpiece made to express what no other voice can say.
SONOR produces instruments for musicians following dreams, many of which started with seeing or hearing something in a music store. Reaching players through music retail is essential to keeping our community connected. MMR and SONOR have been working together to keep this connection strong for more than 50 years, regardless of what else has changed or stayed the same in the lives of people living in a rapidly changing world.”
