Korg reveals NAMM hand

Korg is set to unveil a variety of new products at this year’s NAMM Show, with the full-sized revival of its ARP Odyssey, the ARP Odyssey FS (Rev 1 Rev2 Rev 3), likely to take centre stage.

The Odyssey range will be assembled in the US as full size limited editions with standard keyboards, offering alternatives to the smaller versions previously available. All models of the original ARP Odyssey, each representing its own era, will be available from February. Prices are expected to be around £1,299 in the UK

Also available in a limited edition will be the Korg KROME Music Workstation Platinum, now available in a platinum-colour version, there will be 61, 73, and 88 key models with prices around £915, £1,099 and £1,469, respectively.

Another limited edition will be Korg’s MS-20 mini-WM (White Monotone), the first new colour to appear in the nearly 40 years since the original unit went on sale in 1978. Based on the black that is emblematic of the MS-20’s distinctive presence, the new model features a clean white monotone for its front panel and knobs, while retaining the circuitry, 5-pin MIDI, and USB MIDI of the black MS-20 mini. RRP will be £549 and it will also become available in February.

For the more ostentatious keyboard player, the KRONOS 88-key model, is now available in a limited edition with a gold panel that “softly emanates beautiful light, and sunburst side panels that accentuate the warmth of the woodgrain”. A limited number of KRONOS-88 Gold units will be sold.
