Washburn‘s two new IDOL Series electric guitars are the IDOL WIT16 VSK-D and IDOL WIS26 MRK-D.
The new IDOL WIT16 VSK-D features a vintage sunburst design on the original IDOL body, USA Duncan Stacked Tele pickups, a burled maple top, ash back, ebony fingerboard and hard maple neck. This model carries a MSRP of $1,426.90 (MAP of $799).
The new IDOL WIS26 MRK-D is a metallic red copper guitar with the original IDOL body, USA ‘59/Cust5 Duncan pickups and is wired with award-winning Variable Contour Control allowing the player to sweep through in infinite number of tone colors between humbucking and single coil. This model also carries a MSRP of $1,426.90 (MAP of $799).
Both guitars feature the Buzz Feiten tuning system and include a gig bag with purchase.
The Timeless Collection from Washburn Guitars is a limited-edition series of wood string instruments, featuring tops made from 140-plus-year-old reclaimed European Fir beams pulled from bridges, pubs and barns throughout the United Kingdom. The warm and rich tone produced by this natural aging process falls between redwood and spruce, providing a unique blend of clarity, volume and complexity. The new Timeless Parlor Guitar, Timeless Celtic Mandolin, Timeless A-Style Mandolin, and Timeless F-Style Mandolin all feature a mother-of-pearl “Clou De Lys” overlay headstock that commemorates the specialness of the wood. Each instrument comes with a hardshell case that includes an acrylic-encased cut steel nail that was pulled from the reclaimed wood. The inclusion of the cut steel nail authenticates the age of the wood as cut steel nails fell out of use after 1880.
