ADDAC System Introduces Mixology Pedal: Unique Effect Chain Router and Feedbacker

ADDAC System announces its latest innovation for sonic expression: the Mixology pedal. The Mixology pedal brings unconventional and powerful capabilities into the world of pedals, enabling guitarists, synthesists, and other musicians to extend their creativity and achieve new FX routing possibilities. The new pedal is a dual effect chain router and feedbacker with a host of control options, opening an entirely new spectrum of mixing configurations.

Both input and output stages have their own dedicated gain control, and two FX loops enable users to route inputs to the dry input signal, or the opposite return for parallel, series, or inverted FX order. Two feedback loops allow each FX return to feed back into its own, or its opposite send, for individual or series feedback. Both can be controlled by external expression pedals. Meanwhile, a dedicated FX knob enables crossfading between FX1 and FX2, and the WET | DRY control crossfades between the effects and the dry input signal. The input gain, wet/dry balance, and FX mix can all be controlled via expression pedals.

Expression inputs and looping
The Expression Inputs function in two different ways: when using the WET | DRY or FX Mix inputs, the expression pedal completely overrides the knob, making its position irrelevant. On Input Gain, FX1, and FX2 Feedback, the knob sets the upper limit of the expression pedal’s range – allowing the user to decide how strongly the pedal influences the parameter.

In live looping scenarios, Mixology is especially useful because it allows the option of recording loops with or without effects, while still allowing placement of that same chain of effects after the recorded loops. By changing the routing on the Mixology, the input can instantly go through the desired FX loop – without having to physically change the order of the pedals. FX returns can also be used as additional inputs, ensuring seamless integration into any setup.

By using expression pedals in combination with the Mixology pedal, users can vastly expand creative possibilities while accessing a range of different control parameters.

Introducing Toe Twisters
Separately, ADDAC System is unveiling Toe Twisters: a simple and effective solution for pedal users. Toe Twisters are special large, colorful knobs that can replace any pedal knob – and instantly allows easy feet control. Each knob is tall enough so that it towers above the remaining pedal knobs, enabling it to fit very tight spaces. At the same time, it creates enough clearance so that it’s accessible without obstruction and easier to find with your toe. The side grooves create friction against the shoe.

Installation is easy: simply remove the knob from the potentiometer to be controlled, rotate the potentiometer all the way counter clockwise and place the Toe Twister with its arrow pointing to the Minimum position. The design fits to the potentiometer shaft by friction, the grooves inside the Toe Twister act as a spring allowing a simple press fit that works well for every shaft types: Solid, Knurled T18 or D-shafts.
