Featuring a solid spruce top, laminated mahogany back and sides, a rosewood fingerboard, and a thin satin finish, the Fulton offers crystal clear tone that is even across all twelve strings—the perfect combination of warmth, articulation, and comfort. A deep single cutaway allows for excellent fingerboard access, while finely scalloped bracing allows for blooming resonance that continues to open up over time. Signature D’Angelico details include an archtop-inspired Scalini pickguard and Antique Bronze hardware. Focused on offering tremendous quality at an accessible pricepoint, the Fulton also features a Fishman Sonitone onboard preamp for easy, true-to-tone amplification. The all-new Premier Tammany, Premier Gramercy, and Premier Fulton are available in Natural, Aged Burst, and Caramel Burst, at $389.99 US MAP and are now available at select dealers. D’Angelico has also launched all-new versions of their flagship Excel EXL-1 and Excel Style B archtops. Officially launched on January 11th, these models will be making their first appearance to consumers at the NAMM show as well. “We are thrilled to once again offer the EXL-1 and Style B in the Excel Series,” says Ryan Kershaw, EVP of Product at Bond Audio. “These guitars are the true spirit of our brand, and we’ve worked hard to make them sound, feel and look better than ever before. These are special instruments, and we’re excited to offer them in these new variations.” D’Angelico Excel EXL-1 The flagship archtop in the D’Angelico line has returned—now in two colorways with two different pickup configurations. Inspired by John D’Angelico’s single-cutaway “Excel” model that was first introduced in 1947, the Excel EXL-1 offers woody, articulate tone, ideal for both rhythm and lead playing. Featuring a redesigned neck shape, the EXL-1 promises the perfect balance of comfort and heft, still prioritizing remarkable mobility but also offering improved handfit. On the Dark Iced Tea Burst finish, a full-sized Seymour Duncan 59 humbucker yields broad tone with singing sustain, while a Johnny Smith Floating Mini-bucker on the new Amber finish offers woody, focused tone that prioritizes body top resonance. D’Angelico Excel Style B A faithful replica of John D’Angelico’s rhythm-focused archtop and go-to model throughout the 1930’s, the Style B is an old-school non-cutaway archtop embodying the spirit of New York City jazz. With a 24.75″ scale length and only 20 frets, the Style B is easy to wield and offers naturally rich, mellow tone. A redesigned neck shape offers improved handfit and sustain while still prioritizing remarkable comfort. And offered for the first time ever in the standard D’Angelico line, the Style B welcomes back the legendary DeArmond Rhythm Chief pickup, often seen on original D’Angelico’s of the late 30s and 40s. Played acoustic, the Style B offers woody, warm tone, and thanks to the transparency of the DeArmond pickup, its amplified sound is much the same. Both archtop models feature Grover hardware, an ebony fingerboard, and Jescar fretwire, and are available in Dark Iced Tea Burst and Amber. The Excel EXL-1 is $1899.99 and the Excel Style B is $1699.99, both available at retailers worldwide. In November of 2023, Supro announced the all-new “Custom” collection of amplifiers, a series of bespoke tube amplifiers hand-built in the USA. Two new models—the Delegate Custom 1×12 and Ambassador Custom 2×10—serve to redefine the pinnacle of Supro tube amp tone. Both models feature ultra-premium componentry, including Mercury Magnetics transformers, vintage-correct Mallory capacitors, precision-matched EHX tubes, and custom Celestion speakers. The Supro booth will host both models, offering players a unique opportunity to try them out as they are only available in limited quantities worldwide. “Ever since Supro became part of the Bond Audio family, this is the project we have been hoping to launch,” says Brenden Cohen, CEO of Bond Audio. “Supro amplifiers occupy such a special place in music instrument history, and we think these amps will become a part of that legacy.” Supro is also highlighting the Amulet 1×12, released in late 2023 exclusively at Sweetwater in the US. The best-selling combo amp is now available at all dealers. Supro Amulet 1×12 The Supro Amulet is a vintage-voiced combo loaded with all-tube reverb and tremolo along with a new, 3-way switchable power attenuator. Designed for the gigging guitarist, this lightweight tube amp offers 15 watts, 5 watts or 1 watt of all-tube tone through a UK-made Celestion Creamback speaker. The preamp found in the Amulet delivers warm, blooming clean sounds up to ‘noon’ on its volume knob. Past noon, its voice rolls into classic Supro crunch, giving way to a singing, violin-like overdrive at full volume. The Amulet is remarkably high-gain for a vintage-inspired amp, but offers a sweet spot that is not overwhelmingly loud. It’s available for $1299 US MAP. Pigtronix is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Honoring the brand’s debut at the Winter NAMM Show in 2004, Pigtronix is launching a new, refined iteration of their famous Philosopher’s Tone compressor pedal: the Philosopher’s Tone 2, an optical compressor and sustainer with footswitchable grit. “Pigtronix began 20 years ago with a vision to create futuristic analog pedals. No single device did more to put us on the musical gear map than the aptly named, ‘Philosopher’s Tone’ compressor. Philosopher’s Tone 2 is a sustaining celebration of our continued journey on the path to electric guitar alchemy.” – Dave Koltai
