Bourgeois Guitars has released the Country Boy/TS—the latest model in their well-received Touchstone Series guitar line—now available in both Dreadnought and OM body styles.

With the introduction of the Country Boy/TS, discerning players now have the choice of Mahogany back and sides, in addition to the East Indian Rosewood already available with the Vintage Touchstone. The Country Boy joins the Touchstone lineup as the second acoustic guitar model to come out of Bourgeois Guitars’ collaboration with Eastman Music Company.

Touchstone Series guitars are designed by Dana Bourgeois to offer the legendary Bourgeois tone and playability to a wider range of guitar players than ever before. To accomplish this, the carefully selected old-growth Alaskan Sitka Spruce tops and Adirondack Spruce braces are hand-voiced in Lewiston, Maine by Dana and his team. The tops, which are the single largest contributor to the final tone of a guitar, are then sent to Eastman’s workshop in Bazhou, China, where a highly-trained team of Eastman luthiers integrates the tops into bodies of Dana’s design.

“The Country Boy/TS is the latest step in the evolution of our partnership with Eastman, allowing us to put well rounded guitars—punching way above their weight class—within arm’s reach of a much larger audience,” stated Dana Bourgeois, founder and CEO of Bourgeois Guitars.

“The Touchstone Country Boy finally offers the boutique playing experience to musicians who prefer the sound and weight of a Mahogany guitar. The hand-voiced soundboards and meticulous craftsmanship combine with Dana’s signature designs to make these guitars nothing less than a Bourgeois. With the arrival of the Touchstone Country Boy/TS, the highly coveted Bourgeois tone is now within reach of more players than ever before,” said Christopher Fleming, President of Bourgeois Guitars.

Features and benefits of the Touchstone Series Country Boy/TS include:

  • An old growth Sitka Spruce soundboard, braced with Adirondack Spruce, hand voiced in Lewiston, Maine.
  • The coveted Bourgeois tone and build quality, now available with Honduran Mahogany back and sides.
  • Available at finer acoustic instrument stores near you.

The Touchstone Country Boy is now available through select Bourgeois dealerships, at $2,999 MSRP. For more information on the Country Boy/TS, visit https://bourgeoisguitars.com/touchstone-series/
