Casio America has announced that Matthew Sammons has rejoined the company as Central Regional Sales Manager, following a 20-year hiatus. He reports to Mark Amentt, director of sales, Electronic Musical Instrument Division, Casio America.
In his role, Sammons is responsible for promoting and directing sales efforts for the company’s award-winning Electronic Musical Instruments in Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin.
“We are excited to have Matt back at Casio to help build the success of our key accounts in the Central Region,” said Amentt. “Matt is a rare professional who not only possesses strong communication skills but also creates a motivated team that is consistently focused on the goal. We wish Matt renewed success in the EMI Division and will provide him with our total support.”
Matthew began his career in 1998 as a District Sales Manager/Territory Manager with Casio and was promoted to Regional Sales Manager in 2001 and National Accounts Sales Manager in 2002. In 2003, he joined First Act as Director of Sales, and in 2006 became National Account Sales Manager of Delphi Corporation.
In 2013, Sammons was named Vice President of Sales at Breathometer, Inc. before joining London-based ROLI as Director of Sales for The Americas in 2018. Sammons ultimately established RBI Sales Management, providing fractional sales and operations leadership to startup and early-stage consumer product and technology companies.
“I have long regarded Casio as a tremendous organization with great people, and I am honored to be back on the team,” said Sammons. “Casio is among the most innovative companies in the world, and its products pack a punch, bringing high quality to the marketplace at a tremendous value to the consumer. This makes my return so much more enjoyable and rewarding—selling products I believe in, which have earned our dealers’ trust and confidence.”
Sammons attended the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, where he majored in Speech Communications. He lives with his wife, Katie and son Ryan in Victoria, Minnesota. Their other son, Tyler, lives in Arizona.
