The Ash Family is deeply saddened by the loss of Robert Levin. Our two Families have known each other for decades, starting with my parents love and respect of Chuck and Marge in the late 60’s. The two Families have always enjoyed a friendship based on mutual respect and love, never on business. Robert showed at an early age to have an acute and keen understanding of business from when I first met him in 1974. We were both working in our families businesses but he seemed to have a better understanding of certain aspects that were foreign to me.

Jo Edstrom died on Tuesday, September 10th in Winona, Minnesota at the age of 102. She was the widow of Harold “Hal” Edstrom, who co-founded Hal Leonard Corporation in 1947 with his brother Everett “Leonard” Edstrom and Roger Busdicker.

Mr. Vincent oversaw the planning and implementation of NAMM’s annual trade shows from 1984 to 1994. He brought NAMM’s summer trade show, then known as NAMM Summer Session, to its current home in Nashville, Tenn.

In the early days he struggled to increase his inventory but ensured that he always allowed a budget for advertising. Over the years his newspaper and TV ads have not only helped sell pianos, but have made him a familiar face and name within his community. Henderson also worked to create meaningful promotions such as their Midnight Madness Sale. At one time, Carl and his son expanded the store to six locations in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.
