Gator Co. is proud to announce its new collaboration with ‘Someone, Somewhere’, an initiative-driven company focused on creating innovative and socially responsible products. This partnership marks the launch of a unique line of gig bags under the Someone, Somewhere collection, which includes the ‘Core’ and ‘Lux’ Series.

“By embedding sustainability and social responsibility into our products, we are inviting customers to join us in making a positive impact on the world,” says Crystal Morris, Founder & CEO of Gator. “This collaboration is a part of Gator’s new ‘Guard it for Good’ initiative, a commitment to continuous improvement across all its manufacturing processes with a focus on the welfare of the planet and its people.”

This environmentally conscious approach extends to the bag’s manufacturing process, employing handmade methods and sustainable materials such as recycled cotton. Each bag features a personalized tag with the artisan’s name and location, accompanied by a QR code that links to more about the artisan and an option to send a thank you note, fostering a personal connection between the creator and the user. Integral to this initiative, the Someone, Somewhere organization provides ongoing work to artisans across three different communities in Mexico. This not only ensures the highest quality, it helps keep this art form alive for future generations.
The Core Series gig bags, designed for musicians seeking lighter-duty protection, boast features such as 1/2” foam padding throughout, sustainable loom material constituting 36% of the bag, and recycled cotton thread. Practicality is blended with comfort through its padded carry handle, rear convenience handle, and adjustable padded backpack straps.
The Lux Series caters to those requiring higher-end protection. It includes all features of the Core Series but with enhanced padding – 1/2” foam padding on the front and back, and 1” padding on the sides. The Lux Series also boasts a higher percentage of sustainable loom material at 41%, a plush-lined interior, a loomed luggage piggy-back strap, and macramé zipper pulls for the main zipper. Both series offer sizes for electric, bass, and dreadnought acoustic guitars in three color options: malt, grey, and black.

The Someone, Somewhere collection, representing the people who craft these products and the places they call home, is more than just a gig bag. It’s a statement of environmental consciousness and social responsibility, inviting musicians to contribute positively to the world.
