As part of the recent manufacturing transition of its Rousseau mouthpieces to the JodyJazz factory, JodyJazz Inc., the owners of Rousseau Mouthpieces, has announced that the Rousseau JDX series mouthpieces have all been radically improved and upgraded. Referred to as “Rousseau 3.0”, all Rousseau mouthpieces are now made from start to finish at the JodyJazz factory in Savannah, GA. These improved new Rousseau 3.0 JDX models are an excellent choice for Jazz Band and popular music styles.

“The impact of the Rousseau 3.0 transition may be felt most profoundly of all on the new JDX Series,” says Jody Espina, JodyJazz President and Founder. “These mouthpieces have been completely overhauled and redesigned and the result is a fresh new series that is free blowing, has improved altissimo and is very easy to control.”

The new Rousseau 3.0 JDX models include several new design features. Most importantly the unique ‘V chamber’ design, which was previously exclusive to the original JDX Baritone, is now a feature of all the other models.

Continued Jody, “The original JDX Baritone design of Dr. Rousseau, always featured a unique ‘V chamber’ and the Baritone was by far the most popular and best-selling JDX model. The Alto and Tenor models were quite different designs. I decided to try Dr. Rousseau’s ‘V chamber’ in the Alto and Tenor models and the result was spectacular. Simply put, the JDX series of saxophone mouthpieces will do everything you need in a Jazz and Pop setting. They are easy to control, easy to play and easy to sound great on.”

Other enhancements and upgrades to the new Rosseau 3.0 JDX series include the introduction of the first ever JDX soprano model, also featuring the ‘V chamber’, and the realignment of all the tip opening numbers so that they now all correspond with the more standard tip opening system used by the most popular Jazz mouthpieces, including the JodyJazz models.

Finally, like all the other Rousseau 3.0 models, the JDX series now features a significantly upgraded overall look and appearance with a new elegant matte finish with a deep, rich luster and fully engraved logos finished with gold paint.

The prices for all the Rousseau 3.0 models will remain the same as before despite all the additional handwork and finishing now deployed which is intrinsic to a JodyJazz-made mouthpiece.
