D’Addario has partnered up with Collings Guitars, which will exclusively use D’Addario’s NYXL strings on its electric models.
Introduced last year, D’Addario’s NYXL strings feature a newly engineered, break-resistant, high-carbon steel core and plain steel alloy which D’Addario says are the strongest strings it has ever made. It says the strings provide more strength, and up to 131 per cent greater tuning stability when compared to traditional nickel wound sets.
“We’ve been using D’Addario strings for decades and never had any reason not to,” said eponymous owner, Bill Collings of the exclusive partnership. “In fact, I really admire the fact that they are always working on improving their processes and equipment just to make a better string….for me.”
