Dean Guitars introduces the Z Select Fluence Black Satin electric, adding an even bolder sonic statement to an already audacious design. This new model features the addition of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Pickups for tonal options that are virtually endless. Combining aggressive style with a high-quality build, the Z Select Fluence Black Satin comes fully loaded with plenty of sophisticated flair.

Dean’s Select Series is designed by musicians for musicians, with top-level craftsmanship and high-quality parts. Like other Select Series models, the Z Select Fluence Black Satin starts off with eastern mahogany for the body and 3-piece neck, on a 24 ¾-inch scale. The set-through neck construction allows for stability and durability, while a dual-action truss rod enables intonation adjustments as needed. Dean’s Satin Neck design enhances playability, assisted by 22 jumbo frets finished with pearloid ultra inlays. The dramatically contoured heel joint provides players the utmost access to the upper registry for blistering solos.

Whether it’s time to slay or subdue, players will have plenty of tonal options with the versatile Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers at the neck and bridge. These Multi-Voice™ pickups are known to avoid the hum and noise that plague even the most coveted wire-wound pickups, revealing pure, uncorrupted, and musical tone. The easily accessible controls include Volume and push-pull Tone, along with a high-quality audio taper pot for a smooth roll that won’t destroy the tone.

To further enhance the mechanical stability of the Z Select Fluence Black Satin, Dean has selected a Graph Tech NuBone nut (1 11/16-inch width), a Tune-o-matic bridge with an eye-catching Z plate, and Grover 18:1 tuners. Black speed knobs and black hardware provide an edgy aesthetic to polish off the look. Dean’s V-shaped headstock, featuring a chrome logo, and 5-ply black-white binding provide a splash of class in the finishing details.

In the Select Series, Dean has proven that iconic body shapes can meet a modern palate. The Z Select Fluence Black Satin finds that harmony, balancing a classic look with modern innovations that suit the needs of today’s players.
