DR’s QUANTUM-Nickel alloy offers players a smoother feeling bass string with deep low end, enhanced mids, tons of punch, and bright, clear highs. Hand wound on round cores, PURE BLUES bass strings combine a fat, warm punch with an edge especially designed for the modern bassist. PURE BLUES strings provide more output, more power, and more top end clank than traditional nickel wrapped bass strings.
DR’s PURE BLUES bass strings are now available in sets for 4-, 5- and 6-string basses. PURE BLUES sets are offered in Light (PB-40), Medium Light (PB-45/100), Medium (PB-45), and Heavy (PB-50) gauges for 4-string basses. Medium gauge 5- (PB5-45) and 6- (PB6-30) string packs are also available.
