EarthQuaker Devices will host the second-annual EarthQuaker Day festival at its downtown Akron facility on Saturday, 5th August.
The free event will consist of live music, product demos, giveaways, local business and art exhibitions, guided workshop tours, and a PRS Guitars Riff Contest. All attendees will be given a raffle ticket for a chance to win different prizes, including items from Moog Music, MakeNoise, the Nightlight Cinema, the Akron Symphony Orchestra, SIT Strings, the Akron Civic Theater, Summit Artspace, DeMarco School of Music, Good Life Tattoo, and Tri-C Recording Arts & Technology.
At this year’s PRS Guitars Riff Contest, the winner will receive a PRS SE Custom 24 guitar valued at $759, as well as EarthQuaker Devices’ Erupter and Ghost Echo v3 effects pedals and an EarthQuaker Devices swag pack. All contestants will have 30 seconds to impress a panel of celebrity judges with their best riffs using different EarthQuaker Devices pedals. In addition, the event will serve as a MusicAlive donation station. Attendees can bring new or gently-used instruments to be donated to Akron Public Schools students.
