In addition, EBS’ new EBS Billy Sheehan Signature Drive Deluxe bass pedal is now shipping.
The new pedal is designed to offer more gain than the original version and also has a phase inverter switch to offer users enhanced low-end performance.
Furthermore, users can now change the standard ‘8-pin dual in-line op-amp’ chip used in most drive pedals to one that offers different characteristics to the conventional Drive effect. A list of suitable chips will be listed on the EBS website, a selection different EBS branded chips coming later as well. The chip is accessed easily by removing the bottom plate of the pedal. It’s attached to the board by an IC-standard socket, and does not require any soldering to be swapped.
It comes with four controls (drive, tone, level and clean) and can be powered by 9V DC battery or an EBS AD-9+ Power Supply (not included).
It is available now and priced at RRP £189 inc VAT.
