Fort Bend Music Center, a full-service music products retailer headquartered in Stafford, Texas, announced that Michael Brumit has joined the company as general manager. He reports to Rick Cochran, the company’s president.
In his new position, Brumit oversees operations of the company’s stores in Stafford, Houston and San Antonio, Texas. His wife, Lisa Lance Brumit, has also joined the company and works in the company’s Band and Orchestra department, as well as with the company’s institutional team.
“Michael brings exceptional strength and experience to our organization, having built a remarkable 20-year track record in both the retail and manufacturer sides of our industry,” said Cochran. “His addition to our team is a testament to our commitment to delivering the highest level of professional service. I am confident that Michael and Lisa will have a positive impact on our company and our customers.”
Prior to joining Fort Bend Music Center, Brumit was district manager Piano Channel for Yamaha Corporation of America, a position he held for eight years.
Earlier in his career, he was an institutional sales consultant for Valley Keyboards in Corpus Christi and McAllen and was promoted to VP Sales & Marketing/Institutional Sales at Valley Keyboards and The Piano Gallery.
Michael and Lisa both studied music at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. They live in Houston, Texas.
