GEARSECURE has added Tony Scott of the TonyScottGroup to its board of technical advisors.
At GEARSECURE, Scott will advise the company on key strategic initiatives in conjunction with its late 2017 product roll-out. The addition of Scott is the first announcement from GEARSECURE leading up to Summer NAMM this July in Nashville, Tennessee.
In 2015, President Barack Obama appointed Scott to be Federal Chief Information Officer for the United States and oversaw an $85 billion budget while in this position. Scott has also held CIO positions with Vmware, Microsoft, Disney, and General Motors, and was named a member of the CIO Hall of Fame in 2009.
GEARSECURE introduced their patented technology, which is the first commercially available embedded anti-theft device for musical instruments and gear, at Winter NAMM this year, and will offer the anti-theft technology to consumers at an annual subscription price of $19.95 when released.
