Guild Starfire VI Special Kingswood Green

Guild expands its range of Starfire hollow and semi-hollow electric guitars with 3 new models featuring special colors and DeArmond Dynasonic pickup options that have never been available on the company’s production models before. First introduced in 1960, the Guild Starfire has transcended musical genres over the last 60 years with a design, sound, and versatility that have made it a go-to instrument that has carved out its place in musical history. Guild’s Starfire models of today retain this vintage heritage and quality while being infused with modern touches that bring the best of all eras.

The all-new Guild Starfire I in California Burst is a color expansion to the company’s popular Starfire I range of accessibly priced single and double-cut models. Guild’s exclusive California Burst is a special finish previously only offered on a limited selection of the company’s USA made acoustics. Now available on an all-Mahogany Starfire I double cut, Guild combines warm wood grain patterns with a tastefully hand-sprayed edge burst finish on the body, neck, and headstock, giving it a boutique-quality appearance. All Starfire I models are vintage correct reproductions of early 1960s designs with modern refinements such as pinned bridges, center blocks, and coil splitting of the full-size Guild HB-2 Alnico humbuckers in the neck and bridge.

Moving up in the line is the all-new Starfire III Dynasonic, a single Florentine cut model, featuring Guild’s Dark Emerald Green finish—a special color from the 1960s long coveted by vintage collectors. With a transparent gloss application, subtle grain lines from the Maple body are complemented by cream bindings and nickel hardware. In addition, the Starfire III Dynasonic is the first single-cut and fully hollow Starfire to come equipped with DeArmond Dynasonic pickups, boutique quality single coils that deliver high-end tones and versatility.

Capping off the new model additions is the Starfire VI Special, Guild’s top-of-the-line Starfire with all-premium materials, detailed inlays, and an all-new Kingswood Green metallic finish paired with gold hardware. For the first time, Guild’s ‘Special’ trim package is available for a Starfire, having been exclusive to Guild’s upscale Manhattan models until now. Featuring aesthetic upgrades such as multi-ply body and headstock binding, bound f-holes and fingerboard, abalone and mother-of-pearl “Vblock” fingerboard inlays, and DeArmond Dynasonic pickups, the new Starfire VI Special is a visual stunner and the crème of the crop for Guild’s Starfire platform. These new Guild Starfires will be available at Guild dealers worldwide beginning in September 2023. For more information, visit www.guildguitars.com.
