With less than two weeks to go, The Guitar Show, which returns to Birmingham’s New Bingley Hall on 25th-26th February, has confirmed its exhibitor and artist line-up.

Among them, guitar auctioneer firm Gardiner Houlgate will be bringing choice lots from its March sale of antique, high-end and vintage instruments, allowing a rare glimpse at some highly collectible and storied guitars and basses at the show.

Mostly recently confirmed for the Live Stage is Vigier artist Mary Spender, fresh from an appearance at NAMM 2017 where the Bristol-based singer-songwriter demoed her unique Excalibur Indus guitar, fitted with A Little Thunder pickup specifically designed to add bass notes to a standard six-string guitar.

She joins the likes of Alex Hutchings (presented by Roland/Boss), Steve Smith (Marshall), Lee Wrathe (Laney), JOANovARC, Krissy Matthews (Patrick James Eggle), The Stationary Bones (SIMS/Enfield) and Phil Walker – performing excerpts from his Story Of Guitar Heroes theatre show – in the line-up.

Both Fender and Line6 will also be presenting new product seminars during the show and Guitar Magazine editor Chris Vinnicombe is set to host a Live Stage Meet Your Maker interview and Q&A session with Orange, Bare Knuckle Pickups, Patrick James Eggle and Thorpy FX on Saturday 25th

New exhibitors to the show for 2017 include Elixir Strings, Sandberg basses, Fane Acoustics, Shergold Guitars and Audio Distribution Group (Earthquaker Devices, JHS Pedals, Catalinbread, Maxon etc). These brands join big names Laney, Marshall, Fender, PRS Guitars, Yamaha, Line6, Roland, Blackstar, Orange, Lag, Diezel, Vigier and more in the most comprehensive Guitar Show line-up yet.

There will be a strong presence from home-grown guitar-building talent too, with UK luthiers represented by the likes of Patrick James Eggle, Rob Williams, Feline, JJ Guitars, Crimson, Reiver and more showcasing the very best in domestic custom and bespoke design.

Tickets for The Guitar Show are priced at £12.50 (adults) and £7 (under 16s) in advance (£15 adult and £10 under 16s on the door) and are available from www.theguitarshow.co.uk
