Hal Leonard Releases ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas Instrumental Play-Along’

Vince Guaraldi’s compositions for the TV show that brought the PEANUTS^© characters to life also created a perennial much-loved soundtrack for the Christmas season. For over fifty years, the jazzy soundtrack has been performed and adapted by musicians of all styles and ages. Now early-level instrumentalists can play along with excellent high-quality recordings so they can sound like they’re playing with a professional jazz ensemble thanks to Hal Leonard‘s A Charlie Brown Christmas Instrumental Play-Along packs.

Available for flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, and violin, the Hal Leonard packs feature access to online audio tracks of both full demo performances as well as backing tracks. Students can listen to the full demos and play-along as they’re learning, then switch to the backing tracks when they’re ready to star in the band.

The audio is accessed online at the Hal Leonard MyLibrary website using the unique code inside each book and can be streamed or downloaded. The audio files include PLAYBACK+, a multi-functional audio player that allows players to slow down audio without changing pitch, set loop points, change keys, and pan left or right.
