Recent talks between Hal Leonard Corporation and Apogee Electronics, an industry leader in digital audio recording technology, have culminated in a new distribution deal for the MI and pro audio channels in the US and Canada. Apogee director of worldwide sales Jeremy Stappard reached the agreement with Brad Smith, senior sales and marketing manager for Hal Leonard.
Headquartered in Santa Monica, California – where they proudly design and engineer their products – Apogee has been defining the art of digital audio since 1985. The company continues to innovate with technologies and products that push the envelope, inspire competitors, and lead the studio-quality home recording revolution.
Hal Leonard will initially distribute Apogee’s ONE for iPad and Mac, MiC 96k, JAM, JAM 96k and GiO lines. Many of these products have the distinction of being the first professional-quality audio interfaces for recording using iPhones, iPads and Macs. These tools are used by some of the biggest-name recording artists, musicians, producers and engineers around the world.
Apogee recently announced an OEM partnership with Avid. Avid now offers Apogee’s award-winning hardware technology bundled with its industry-standard Pro Tools software in two unique solutions: Pro Tools | Duet and Pro Tools | Quartet. In yet another stroke of synergy, Hal Leonard has represented Avid since 2010, and intends to make new Avid/Apogee bundles available, and also cross-sell Apogee products to customers who already own Pro Tools 11.
