We truly live in an age of wonders. Not entirely sure there’s a need/demand for this and also not entirely sure that someone isn’t taking the piss, but some bright spark has patented……drumroll…. the Musical Instrument Lampstand.
World Patent Marketing has come up with what is essentially a guitar stand with a standard lamp on top which solves the problem of…not being able to see your guitar enough? Not being able to read while being next to your guitar? A lack of soft furnishings in your home studio? It’s not entirely clear.
“I wanted to create a lamp with an instrument stand that will have different attachments, as well as a place for picks or bows and other items needed for practicing or learning an instrument,” explained inventor, Rickey C. It’s not clear what the ‘C’ stands for. Or maybe it is.
“The ones I have made so far are for guitars. However, I will have designs for other instruments as well. It started as a hobby, thanks to my daughter pushing for a welder!”
“Music is something that nearly everyone enjoys and learning to play an instrument can be both rewarding and fun,” added Jerry Shapiro, Director of Manufacturing and World Patent Marketing, “This household invention makes being a musician much simpler.”
FYI, on the World Patent Marketing website CEO Scott Cooper is also offering a $1m reward for irrefutable proof as to the existence of Big Foot. Seriously. Look.
Experienced woodsman tip for you – they are attracted to lamps. Maybe these guys are smarter than you think?
