KHS America is excited to announce that John Harvill is stepping into the role of Marching Percussion Brand Manager. This oversight of KHS America marching percussion brand activity is intended to align directly with Harvill’s ongoing leadership in managing KHSA’s marching partner ensemble relationships, a capacity in which he has served since 2019.
“John has been a very highly valued team member who has excelled during his tenure here at KHS America,” notes Jerry Andreas, KHS America’s Director of Sales and Marketing for the Education Division. “His marketing background, product knowledge, relationships and wealth of experience as a performer and educator for high-level marching ensembles will continue to serve him well in this expanded role.”
John’s past marching experience includes having been a member of the MTSU Band of Blue, Music City Mystique, and the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps. He has served on staff for Mt. Juliet High School, Music City Mystique, Father Ryan High School, and more. His career also includes marketing experience that spans well over a decade.
Harvill looks forward to the challenges that the new responsibilities bring, stating “This transition comes at an exciting time for Mapex Marching. As our instruments and accompanying accessories continue to evolve, we have several exciting projects nearing the finish line. It’s an honor to see these projects through and to be the next to lead the sales and marketing efforts of the brand.” Harvill continues, “I look forward to working closely with our artists and ensemble partners, my colleagues here at KHS America, and our global team to build on the legacy of my predecessors in advancing our contribution to the ever-evolving marching arts activity.”
