There was royal recognition for John Packer Musical Instruments, the UK-based musical instrument manufacturer, distributor and retailer, recently as the company’s managing director met with His Majesty the King.
Rob Hanson, managing director of John Packer Musical Instruments, attended a reception at Windsor Castle in Berkshire, where he spoke with King Charles III, as well as HRH The Princess Royal and HRH The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
The reception came after John Packer Musical Instruments won the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category, recognising the outstanding international growth of the flourishing business.
It is the second time JP Musical Instruments has won the award, having received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category in 2018.
Rob Hanson, managing director of John Packer Musical Instruments, commented: “Attending the royal reception at Windsor Castle was a huge honour, and it was a pleasure to chat with His Majesty the King and other members of the royal family about the work of John Packer Musical Instruments.
“The King showed great interest in the growth of the company, and took time to discuss its continued progress in what is a fast-paced and continually-evolving international trading landscape.”
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed in 2023 to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 59th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country, with successful businesses able to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
