KHS America has announced the appointment of Jerry Goldenson as VP of Business Development.
Jerry is an industry veteran with over thirty years of experience in a wide range of business roles and responsibilities inside and outside the musical instrument industry. He was an accomplished French horn player, a seasoned working drummer & percussionist since the age of twelve and holds a BA in business and an MBA in Business Economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
Goldenson’s industry background includes 10 years in music retail, director of Sales and Marketing for SONOR U.S.A. and regional sales manager for Mapex Drums. His experience outside the Music Industry includes positions as EVP and chief marketing officer for SMASH Direct, an international consumer electronics promotions and marketing firm, VP of Operations for an international jewelry manufacturer and leadership of a cutting edge web initiative for a big box retailer during the height of the dot com boom. Most recently Goldenson served as VP of Sales for Pearl Corporation, leading Pearl’s sales efforts in school percussion, flutes and combo drums.
Goldenson sits on several charitable and economic boards in and around Nashville and has had extensive involvement with Little Kids Rock, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children across the country through music participation.
