The Institute of Management Accounts (IMA), an association for accountants and financial professionals recently hosted an educational panel for their Long Island chapter. Diana Cecchini, chief financial officer and vice president of Finance at Korg USA, Inc. was one of the key professionals invited to speak on her role and discuss how financial departments can better work together with other areas within a company.
Long Island University students studying business and finance were also invited to attend the panel to hear seasoned professionals from all industries speak on their experiences and advise on enhancing better communication.
“What a great panel discussion at the most recent Long Island IMA event,” says chapter president, Carmela Borzelleri. “In addition to a variety of local professionals getting the opportunity to network, we had LIU students join the panel, listening as top financial executives offer insight and wisdom on effective communication strategies. We’re looking forward to future events.”
Cecchini, a 28-year veteran in the music industry, is also an active community service leader, serving on the board of Directors for Long Island Cares, the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
