The Henna Dragon Guitarlele has a baritone-like size frame, with a 19-inch scale, and an all-eastern mahogany wood body that delivers a vibrant tone that’s warm and deep. The body’s Open Pore Natural finish enhances the mahogany’s natural resonance. Strength is again balanced by elegance at the slotted headstock, which has open-gear chrome button tuners that complement the chrome hardware.
The C-shaped neck is also made of eastern mahogany with a 19-fret pau ferro fingerboard, complete with Luna’s pearloid moon phase inlays. The bone nut measures 1 7/8 inches, providing ample spacing and height for the Aquila Super Nylgut strings. The fluent articulation of these strings, combined with the instrument’s deep resonance and sustain, provide an ideal foundation for the Luna UK-T2 preamp with onboard tuner. This preamp is discrete and simple to use, providing easy amplification that can be dialed in quickly.
