Marshall and Spinal Tap Reunite for the Loudest Amp Ever Made

A 40-year full-circle collaboration brings one of rock’s most iconic moments to life for real.

Marshall and Spinal Tap II finally unite in a limited design collaboration that celebrates the absurdity, volume, and rock ’n’ roll of going too far (to 11 and Infinity) and loving it.

Built on the spirit of the JVM410H, this collaboration isn’t just loud — it’s louder than loud. Every detail in the panel nods to the amps that shaped a moment in rock history and the film that turned it into comedy gold.

THIS IS THE LOUDEST COLLAB EVER MADE. LITERALLY.

In 1984, This Is Spinal Tap made rock history, and Marshall was right there when guitarist Nigel Tufnel proudly declared, “These go to eleven.” That scene became part of pop culture forever, cementing Marshall’s place as the sound and the symbol of rock excess.

Now, four decades later, that moment comes full circle with the Spinal Tap JVM410H Limited Edition: an amp that finally turns the myth into metal.

“Marshall has always been part of Spinal Tap’s DNA, quite literally,” says Hugh Gilmartin, Artist Relations & Marketing Manager at Marshall. “It’s poetic to finally make the amp that fans have talked about for 40 years. It’s a celebration of sound, satire and everything that makes rock both ridiculous and great.”

The Spinal Tap JVM410H features custom panel artwork, renamed channels and controls that literally go beyond. All knobs go to 11, and the master volume reaches infinity. On the back, a bold Spinal Tap logo marks its legacy.

“There’s a beautiful madness in this project,” continues Hugh Gilmartin. “It’s not about nostalgia, it’s about honoring a moment that defined how we all see rock, volume and humor.”

Only 20 units will exist worldwide and will be available for fans in the US only. Eleven will be sold exclusively via Sweetwater’s Gear Exchange beginning on December 7, with all profits going to charities chosen by Spinal Tap: The Roots of Music & Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
