Michael Kelly Guitars announces the release of the new Forte Port Mod Shop 12 Randy Jackson of Zebra Signature acoustic – electric guitar at NAMM 2025. Built on the success of Michael Kelly’s original Randy Jackson signature model released in 2021, this new instrument is an expansion to the innovative Forte Port acoustic guitar line and will be available for sale Q1 2025 for $749.99 MAP via Michael Kelly’s dealer network.

Designed and road-tested in close collaboration with Randy Jackson, the Forte Port Mod Shop 12-string Randy Jackson of Zebra Signature acoustic – electric is crafted with richly-figured ziricote tonewood combined with a natural gloss finish to provide a distinctive look. Dragonfly inlays adorn the ovangkol fingerboard, while mini gold Grover tuners round out the unique design.\
The innovative offset sound hole creates a larger resonant area under the strings for improved depth, accuracy and tone. Lightweight scalloped cross-bracing adds strength, without damping this critical tonal surface. The Forte Port side-mounted sound hole delivers superior tone and clarity and allows the player to hear direct sound from the instrument.
This guitar features a Fishman® S-Core pickup for clear, magnetic sound with a built-in Presys Blend preamp that seamlessly blends the pickup signal with a separate microphone and piezo system. The Presys Blend offers players unparalleled control over their amplified sound, allowing them to dial in the perfect blend of warmth and attack.
In addition to volume, contour and phase controls, the Presys Blend includes a built-in tuner. Designed for the modern player, the comfortable OM body features a single cutaway and the C profile mahogany neck is dovetail set and equipped with a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard. Changing strings is quick and easy with Michael Kelly’s Zero Pin Bridge.
