The NAMM Young Professionals will host a two-hour event during The NAMM Show featuring Joel Menchey, president and CEO of Menchey Music Service.
The event will take place on January 25, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the NAMM Idea Center, and will be open to all NAMM members.
Joel Menchey is the president and owner of Menchey Music Service, a seven-location school service and keyboard music dealer headquartered in Hanover, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Temple University where he earned a BBA in Finance and Business Management. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he is a past president of RPMDA and NASMD, and has held board positions at NAMM, the York County Chapter of the United Way, and the Strand Capitol Performing Arts Center. Currently, Menchey serves on the NAMM Executive Committee as Treasurer.
“Having been a part of this wonderful industry for the last 24 years, and actually being a part of the NAMMYP organization during those early years, this truly is an honor and a privilege,” said Menchey when asked about the NAMMYP event Friday.
He will talk about how he got in this industry, what he’s been doing, his successes and yes even talk about some mistakes along the way. There will also be a closing reception for networking and Q & A with Joel himself after his presentation.
Comprised of young professionals under 40, members of this NAMM sub-group cover the entire spectrum of the music industry, including retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, distributors, service providers, and more. Their mission is to provide networking and professional development to the future leaders of the music-products Industry.
