Barnes and Mullins has launched the new Peavey FX2 Series mixers in the UK.
As well as refresh of the design, the new mixers – available in 16, 24, and 32 channel variations – have twice the power of the original FX models and a number of other enhancements
Silencer mic preamps produce crystal-clear signal reproduction by allowing very high gain with low noise and distortion. Four pre-fader auxes per channel offer four monitor mixes and the built-in or outboard effects can be added using two post-fader auxes. The mixers contain built-in effects in the form of delay, compression, reverb, chorus, flanger, de-esser, expander, tube emulator, gate and vocal enhancer.
Dual DSP engines mean multiple simultaneous effects can be assigned to any channel. USB ports allow users to record rehearsals and performances directly to a USB stick to be transferred to a computer.
Peavey’s automated EQ system, “Feedback Ferret”, is designed to help inexperienced live mixers by recognising and eliminating troublesome frequencies to control feedback issues, while an LCD screen allows for quick and simple programming.
The FX2 16, 24 and 32 channel mixers retail for £965, £1298 and £1533 respectively and are available to order now from Barnes and Mullins. – www.bandm.co.uk
