Barnes & Mullins has launched a new line of Yanagisawa WO Soprano saxophones in the UK.
Designed as upgraded replacements to the popular S901 and S902 Soprano range, the new WO Soprano saxophones offer new features to further improve tone and increase playability. The series features ‘Professional’ and ‘Elite’ models suitable for both advanced students and accomplished players – available in lacquered and unlacquered brass, bronze and silver options in the key of Bb (low Bb to high F# range).
Improved compound materials, a redesigned taper, new tone hole positioning and relocated right pinky keys are designed to ensure Yanagisawa WO Soprano models benefit from a cleaner tone, improved note intonation and greater playability. The angle of the left palm keys has been modified for smoother fingering and each model features a nickel silver G rod for added strength.
WO Soprano ‘Professional’ models are light one-piece, free blowing instruments with a resonant tone and ergonomic key design, whereas WO series ‘Elite’ Sopranos are high end. They feature straight and curved neck options, plus have a new neck plate design offering a tighter overall sound.
Each Soprano sax comes complete with a fabric covered wooden shell case with outer accessory pocket and back straps.
The Yanagisawa WO Series Soprano models retail from £3700 and are available to order now through exclusive UK distributors Barnes & Mullins.
