On Sunday 5th November the Royal Northern College of Music will host it’s annual Saxophone Day on Sunday 5th November with JHS‘ Odyssey Symphonique Brasswind brand part of its extensive exhibition.
Open to the public to players of all ages and abilities, the day will consist of live performances, workshops, and the chance to see some of the world’s greatest players such as John Helliwell (Supertramp), Simon Willescroft (Duran Duran), Krzysztof Urbanski and the world-acclaimed Timothy McAllister.
Franck Bichon, president of BG France will be exhibiting an extensive range of high-quality accessories and instrument care packs, including handmade ligatures.
P. Mauriat professional saxophones will also be on display. The manufacturing includes an extensive hand-hammering process and each tone hole is drawn from the saxophone one by one to ensure the precision and consistency required for better response and intonation.
Odyssey designer and Master Craftsman Peter Pollard will be on hand to demonstrate and go through the features of the instruments.
