OMG Music will now distribute officially licensed U.S. Army products to the music industry via their Henry Heller brand.
Named one of the best global licenses by License! Global Magazine, The U.S. Army brand has an 85% unaided brand awareness among the general population and spends over $200 million annually on television, print, and online advertising campaigns. With over 750,000 active soldiers, 23 million+ veterans, and 5 million+ members of active military families, the U.S. Army brand has a built in demand for products that is unequaled.
“The value to our dealers is going to be off the charts”, says Mark Blasko, Partner and Director of Operations at OMG. “We’ve heavily invested in our new Sheridan, Indiana manufacturing facility. This is the first of hopefully many returns to come from that investment.” The initial offering will consist of guitar straps and picks in multiple designs and can be viewed at NAMM booth 4602.
Most importantly is how this will give back to the active soldiers, veterans, and their families. By federal law, licensing fees paid to the U.S. Army for the use of its trademarks provide support to the Army Trademark Licensing Program, and all licensing revenue is devoted to U.S. Army Morale, Welfare, and Recreation programs. “We are proud and humbled to have been chosen to be a part of a program that is providing direct support to those who have sacrificed so much” says Blasko. “Much like we always say about our dealers – without them there would be no us!”
