Peavey will sponsor a DJ Workshop & Panel for Youth during the upcoming 2018 NYDJCON, the New York DJ Convention. Both the workshop and convention, where Peavey will be a main stage sponsor, are set to take place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 12p.m. to 7p.m. at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Peavey’s DJ Workshop & Panel for Youth will provide a learning platform to inspire up-and-coming artists and entertainer
The panel discussion will focus particularly on the work of young DJs, who will share how they entered the business as well as the pros and cons of being kids in the industry. They’ll also give practical advice, like how to obtain a work license, and discuss some of their go-to gear. DJ Ameer, a 17-year-old artist from New Jersey, will be one of the panelists who will share his experiences and spin some music for a live demo along with D-ILL, and DJ JB. Connecting past and present, DJ legends and innovators, Grand Wizzard Theodore (inventor of scratching) and DJ PonFetti will discuss DJing culture and history, as well as provide demonstrations on through the Peavey Dark Matter speaker series.
Peavey’s DJ Workshop & Panel for Youth is just one opportunity for 2018 NYDJCON attendees to take their DJing to the next level, as the one-day extravaganza will also feature group and 1-on-1 classes. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to win more than $5,000 in a Super Raffle of exclusive DJ and audio equipment that can take their skills to the next level.
Like last year, Peavey will display some of their newest equipment for DJs of all experience levels. The exhibited gear will also be showcased on the 2018 NYDJCON mainstage, where celebrity DJs and musical artists will entertain audiences with party-rocking sets.
