Peavey has launched the Headliner 1000 Bass amp head.
The 1000w amp includes an array of features aimed at the professional bass player. A seven-band graphic EQ spaced at optimised frequencies, with each slider providing 15dB of cut and boost to improve tone shaping. A footswitch selectable, optical compressor with level control and bypass is also included.
It also has a Crunch feature that allows players to dial in a vintage tube effect to distort the high frequencies only and ensure that no low-end is lost. The Bright and Contour switches offer more tonal options allowing the player to create a whole range of sounds suitable for almost any style. It includes Peavey’s exclusive DDT speaker protection circuitry that detects the onset of clipping and engages a small amount of limiting to ensure no essential dynamics or tone are lost.
The head retails at £549 and is available to order now from the Barnes and Mullins sales team or through the online portal. – http://www.bandm.co.uk
